Go crazy! Don’t mind if I do!

I’m pretty close too what with the chaos at the office right now...

*ahem*

The weather was warm enough that I could go and ride the motorcycle to the store to get some headphones. (Managed to pick up a 2nd-gen 4GB ipod mini for $49 off of E-Bay to replace all the stupid hard-drive based ones that keep failing on me.) It was even warm enough to wear my tech vest without the arms though I did wear gloves.

bmhmom is doing better but she still needs to use her cane more than she does. Regardless at least her ankle is starting to feel better. It’ll still be some time before it’s completely healed though. For some reason ankles seem to take longer than other things. I help where I can but lately I’ve been really tired when I get home from work.

I have another student for Plant 101 - my other sister-in-law who’s never grown anything from seed and was amazed that the one sister-in-law now has three seedlings (two tomato plants and one pepper plant) in her house. So I get to teach another person. Not bad really as I love to see people learn stuff like this and it’s even sweeter to teach it to people. Now if I could only get money for doing that regularly... :-/

Still have no solution for my neighbor’s computer. I don’t have enough cash to just buy one outright for him yet and he’s been understanding of the whole situation as it really isn’t my fault but I still don’t feel good about it. I’ll get him a replacement here soon.

Picked up all but one part for the basic prototype of the herb sconce. It won’t look pretty at first but it’ll work. The big thing is to make it safe, usable, and able to be hung or stood on a table. I think I’ve got all of those covered but haven’t put all the parts together yet.

We should be done with most of the chaos at work this week - at least from my point of view - so hopefully I can stabilize things in my life for a little bit and get back on track.

Need to keep doing the Wii Fit every day. I managed to get back on it yesterday after 6 days and my Wii Fit age was 37 but I’d gained 2 - 3 pounds. Wtf? bmhmom says it’s muscle mass but I just think I haven’t been paying attention to what I’ve been eating. If I can organize myself enough I may move my body test to first thing in the morning but I doubt I can squeeze it in easily - it’s going to take some work.

Ugh. I had a chance to attack the lawn today and blew it off. My neighbors are going to string me up for sure if I keep doing that...

Tom Smith was right....one of us is _real_ weird folks! ;-P

It's a run, run, run as fast as you can, world. :^)

I now have about 48 tomato seedlings, mostly in one bed, with salvaged branches tied into teepees for supports... this is overkill, but I am too softhearted to throw out the thinnings. I am so encouraged by this, I'm considering strawberry plants.

Either the LED grow lamp or the cooler temp in the garage is causing the tomatoes to sprout slowly. I suspect that if I change to a different light and heat up the garage they'll all pop. Peppers - I can only hope they pop some time in the near future.

And if you've already got 48 tomato seedlings you probably _should_ try for strawberries. :-)

*grin* I think tomatoes & strawberries are about the easiest fruits to grow, so even *I* have a chance. Right now the weather is perfect for planting/transplanting- hot and humid with an occasional cloudburst.

Mockingbirds have a nest in the yard bordering mine and are doing a bang-up job of grabbing any bugs I flush out when I water. I'm determined not to use pesticides, so I expect a certain percentage of loss to caterpillars.

Now I will wait a few minutes as your lagging synapses kick in, and your brain accesses the archived files.
