That’s what it seems to come down to in this society right now. I really wish I could just do the things I wanted to do and not have to worry about money.
(BTW the above title comes to mind always with the voice of the one government agent from The Incredibles: “Money money money money money money money Bob we just can’t keep doing this!”)
But then the lack of money forces people to become creative in the area of adapting and substituting. And sometime that produces some of the most amazing things.
I would prefer to be less amazing at times...
Got more weeds pulled from the garden yesterday. I haven’t gotten the outer beds down to bare earth yet but I’m getting there. Likely I’ll just start raking the weeds out with the garden rake and then pull up anything that’s left. Those creepers with the small purple flowers are the worst. They get into everything.
Not sure what to do about the peonies in the front yard. They got blown over by the storms we had recently and likely will not stand back up again. (And I accidentally mowed over the heads of some of them.) I may just trim them back and wait until next year because I don’t know if they’ll flower more than once in a season. Oddly there’s both white and pink ones in the same bed.
Hopefully I’ll be able to get the other vehicles repaired this week. That would certainly take the load off the newest vehicle in our “fleet” and let me get back to my normal schedule. That’s something I’ve been fighting to do for some time now.
But once those are done I will be able to schedule all the vehicle for regular maintenance and parts replacement and have the issue under control. I really need to set up a good reminder system for myself for these things. Something that will bug me daily and be a bit intrusive but not overwhelming. I think the iCal reminders were almost right but they only bug me on my computer. Hmm...I’ll have to think about that...
