So I see that Congresscritter Fiendstein is trying to put anti net-neutrality stuff into an economic stimulus/spending package.

Those of you that elected the SOB should feel proud that she seems poised to represent the special interests behind closed doors where people can’t see what she’s doing.

Yeah. That’s important. It’s important to protect our corporate interests and put that in A PIECE OF LEGISLATION THAT IS SUPPOSED TO BE DEALING WITH THE ECONOMIC CRISIS IN THIS COUNTRY!!!!!

If you can’t do the job we _will_ vote you out. We’re awake now you assholes so watch where you step.

Someone in another forum commented about what I wrote yesterday in that it was a workable plan and even a good one but things like agribusiness interests and other sundry people would prevent it from happening.

And he’s absolutely right. They would be a major roadblock to building these things. It was even suggested that they might make laws that would prevent people from making these things in the home because they might grow weed in them. And he’s right about that too.

They would certainly try all those things.

But if these things were started as a business first then expanded there would be an existing foothold for this stuff.

And anyway I don’t expect the government to consider implementing my plan without giving it the dreaded Hot Pork Injection. But the plan is simple enough that they might still be able to do it well regardless of that. *shrug*

I came up with another really good idea this morning but due to my failing memory it’s gone into the aether. I hope it comes back.

It started raining yesterday in the afternoon so as of this morning almost all the snow is gone. Unfortunately it looks like it’s going to get cold again this weekend so I won’t be able to do things around the yard. I’ve decided to not do brick raised beds this year - the expense is just going to be too great - and go with using the old deck wood I’ve got with stakes screwed to it to create frames for the beds. I might still pick up the rest of that this weekend despite the cold. If our previous neighbor still has it that is.

I’m hoping that it’s not going to snow again but I’m pretty sure that hope is in vain. If I knew it wasn’t going to snow again I could park the lawn tractor in the shed and move the deck wood outside to start working with it.

Minimizing the cold medicine due to the effect it has on your liver. The stuff is truly nasty stuff so as with any medicine I try and use it sparingly.

Anyway the rain is as usual needed and it’s not a torrential downpour so it hopefully will sink in not run off. We could use some better ground water this year than last.
