Massive Melting Batman!

19:12 PM 07/20/2011

So I'm currently dogsitting for a good friend and reflecting on the day.

It's the second day of training today which went well. Learning a lot of things about how libraries keep things and what's required in a software program to do that.

Worried about our own furkid with the weather being so hot. Luffy registered 107.8 degrees F today and it's up on a pole off to the side of the gable on the workshop peak.

He's been doing okay so far since we've been leaving bowls of ice cubes out for him and at least one floor fan running in addition to the ceiling fans. Right now we check up on him after work before picking up our daughter. We'll have to shave him again soon as his fur is growing back quickly.

I think I'd like to go back to not melting please!

Nothing left to melt over here...
Try doing my job in this soup! Just my rotten luck things picked up quite a bit this week - I'd stay the hell home if I could.

Yesterday, I had to cut the sleeves off my tee and wear them on my head - too much sweat dripping off my face and spoiling the glass. The shop's puny lil' 14kbtu A/C did a decent job of drying whichever headsleeve I wasn't wearing. Didn't rely on it to cool the place, of course - used a 24" exhaust fan and ~60 square feet of open doorway for that.

Wish someone would leave *me* a bowl of ice cubes.
