...on my truck that is. From what our housemate says I busted a tooth in the drive-train somewhere - most likely the rear differential. The downside is that it’s going to take me a little while to figure out what is broken and get it fixed. The upside is that I get to ride the bike to work as often as I can. ^_^
Fixing it shouldn’t be all that expensive but it is time consuming and messy. And I hate the smell of gear-lube. :-(
Riding this morning was a little yucky because it rained last night but I really didn’t have any serious problems despite it being a little windy but that’s something I should expect living in the Midwest.
Talked to a friend of mine downstate today and he says that he should have no problem doing up a small deerhide laptop bag for me to swing over my back “bandolier style” in exchange for some of the deerhide. I much prefer to give the work to them rather than the other guy because of the attitudes involved and because they have more time to get said things done.
I will still offer the tube tester and other such things to the one guy though because I promised him first pick of the test equipment out of my mother’s attic when I cleaned it out. That and he truly wants it. We’ll see what he says when I get a hold of him.
And MacJournal just crashed again when trying to post to Livejournal. I don’t know what is going on there but I’m going to have to see what the developer says. I suspect it’s partially related to my account but there seems to be something else amiss. It works fine when connected to the broadband - any broadband - but it fails to post when connected to the cell phone. Go figure.
Maybe it’s something in the keychain database...
Need to do my wife’s brakes tomorrow. We have our daughter’s IEP in the morning but that will hopefully only last an hour or so - though they’ve been known to last longer. Then I’ll take her to work and I’ll do her brakes and clean up outside. Maybe weed the flower gardens. In fact removing the grass in the front flower gardens would be really good because now that I have the mulch down it looks really bad with the grass growing through there.
I always seem to be behind the 8-ball...
