Hair today goon tomorrow...

Got my hair cut yesterday. I really should do that more often because it’s much easier to do things when I’m not fighting shaggy hair every morning.

My hair was massively curly when I was growing up and it has shown no signs of stopping any time soon. If I let it go it curls _up_ at the sides and I end up looking like I’m wearing one of the old French “powdered wigs”. (Or English or...well you get the idea.)

My daughter seems to have inherited that feature as well. Of course she’s currently chewing on her hair which is causing my wife and I no end of trouble.

Made some good progress on the house yesterday. Managed to get the kitchen floor scrubbed down and the bathroom all clean. The bedroom is next on my list for next Wednesday. This weekend though is the garage. I need to move that desk overhead (hutch?) out of there. I don’t have the space for it and I’m not using it. If it’s our landlord’s it can go downstairs in storage, if it’s mine it can go bye-bye.

Once that happens I can move the metro-racking against that wall and have more room to do things. I’ll likely park my bike there during the winter with the tractor where the bikes are now. That will give me more space near the workbench to fix the other motorcycle during winter. And when I want to work on my main bike I can always swap them around.

And I cleaned out a few things in the shed so there’s space for some of the stuff from the garage. I’m going to get rid of more stuff out of there this weekend as well. I may even get rid of the one dresser in there but some part of me doesn’t want to because it’s got an incredibly old finish and is well made. I’d like to get it appraised but I don’t know where to do so. :-(

All this cleaning will also give me space to work on the lawn tractor. I’m going to try and fix it myself if only because that was one of the reasons I bought it in the first place.

I should likely be able to get rid of some of the things behind the workbench too. Not sure what I’m going to do with my daughter’s bike though over the winter. If I can manage to get some of the stuff out of the rafters I can probably hang it up there without too much trouble.

Got my Vaxstation 4000/60 re-loaded with OpenVMS 7.3 and damn is it cool! I’m remember things from my youth and having a damn fun time doing it. I managed to get TCPIP running on it and will soon be loading some freeware on it to see what I can do with it. For some strange reason I want to run a MUD or old-style BBS on it. Not sure why... :-/
